Neurilemmoma of the Tongue




Abstract
A schwannoma is a solitary benign slowly growing encapsulated neoplasm that originates in a nerve and is composed of Schwani¢¥s cell in a collagenous matrix. They usually occur in head Viand ¢¥neck region. Among them, they are rare arising from the tongue. Recently we have experienced the neurilemmoma arising in the tongue on 17-year-old female and removed successfully through external approach under local anesthesia.
